Namibia: Ndhovu Safari Lodge updates | Отель Ндхову Лодж Намибия

Ndhovu Lodge updates:

° The Houseboat has been sold and we would no longer be able to offer any Houseboat Safaris.

° Tents # 1 and 3 are wheelchair friendly with ramps, the bathroom is also equipped with railings

° We are happy to announce that our 3 camp sites (with communal ablution) also has a power point.

° The 3 additional Bungalows have been completed (an addition to the existing tents) - same rates apply.

° We will have our second River Suite unit ready for your ultimate Ndhovu experience by end of June 2022, but the 2 River Suite units will be located a distance away from each other.

Activities offered: 

° Sundowner River Cruise - no drinks included (starting time: 16:30 - 18:30)

° Mahangu National Park Game Drive - 2 soft drinks per person included

° (starting time: 08:30 - 12:00 in the mornings / 14:30 - 18:00 in the afternoons

° Buffalo Combo - 5 hours Buffalo Park Drive + Sundowner boat cruise (time: 11:00 - 16:00) starting off with a boat cruise to Buffalo Park, being picked up at the riverbank guests enjoy game viewing by guided safari to return back to the lodge via boat cruise with a sundowner.

° Village Walk (starting after breakfast in the mornings) offering a cultural casual tour through our small local village going by with their daily chores and activities

Wow! how quick time has flown by as 2021 is almost at an end...  only four weeks left before we say "Happy 2022"!

Situated at the western end of Zambezi close to Divundu. Road access is straight-forward from any part of Namibia including Ruacana, Oshakati, Windhoek and Etosha, and from the direction of Katima Mulilo and Victoria Falls.

Updates and changes effective Immediately are as Follows:

° Our boat trips (x2 boats for these activities) are from 08h00 in the morning & 16h00 in the afternoon (pm cruise including Popa Falls & sundowner) (snacks, soft drink, water, red & white wine included) about 2 hours duration.

° Game drives are from 07h00 in the mornings; 14h00 in the afternoon (soft drinks & water included)

° Fishing Excursion - small boat used max 5 pax, fishing tackle & rods supplied and is charged per hour

° Village Tours - walk to the village to see the living & the culture of the local community

Namibia: Ndhovu Safari Lodge news

At Ndhovu Safari Lodge we are blessed to offer guests an island experience, as the water rises and form an estuary right around the lodge. The reception has been moved to higher ground before the entrance to the lodge and 24 hour security is provided for vehicles parked at the new reception area, while guests and their luggage are transferred across to the lodge by boat at no additional cost.
Campsites are blocked off for the month of March, April and May, and will only open again when water level subsides starting 1st of June 2020 or earlier.
Furthermore, Ndhovu Safari Lodge is excited to reintroduce the Morning Village Walk, starting right after breakfast and last for 2 hours. At present all activities will still be available as normal.

Updates and changes:

° In the past, camping was only offered as one exclusive Campsite, now we are happy to advise that there are 3 individual campsites along the river with communal ablution.
° New one Honeymoon Suite - a floating tent expected to be completed by March 2020.
° The 3 Bungalows have been completed, and are addition to the existing tents - same rates
New activities offered: 
° Day trip to Popa Falls (full day) including Lunch packs
° Combo - 5 hours Buffalo Park Drive + Sundowner Boatcruise

Namibia: update from Ndhovu Safari Lodge

As from the 1st  May 2018, Ralf Speh and Frank Paulus will be taking over the management of Ndhovu Safari Lodge, a fresh start to carry Ndhovu spirit forward. All other services remain as is.

Other updates include:
The Campsite have been affected by flood water and inaccessible as of 16 April 2018. We expect water level to subside in the coming weeks for the Campsite to be available again starting 1st of June 2018.

Houseboat Safari is one of Ndhovu's highlights and will continue operating as offered.
° Offers accommodation for one double and one twin cabin (maximum 4 people) on the upper deck, while the lounge and dining area as well as the shared bathroom (separate shower and WC) are below.
° On a houseboat safari the boat leaves the lodge for at least two nights as your adventure awaits you. For a minimum of two nights we explore Popa Falls, the Okavango River and the incredible Buffalo Park Game Drive. The Safari Houseboat is available on a fully-inclusive basis, all meals (dinner on day 1, breakfast/lunch & dinner day 2, and breakfast on day 3), wine/malt & soft drink during the stay & one game drives.
