Opening of The Shipwreck Lodge in Skeleton Coast Park in Namibia

New Shipwreck Lodge is scheduled to open in June this year. The lodge is located between the Hoarusib and Hoanib rivers and will be the first to be built at the West Coast in Namibia's national park.

Each of Shipwreck Lodge's 10 rooms has been designed to resemble the shipwrecks. The Lodge will have 8 twin or double rooms and 2 family tents. All rooms are en-suite and solar powered.

Shipwreck Lodge is owned by the Sesfontein Conservancy.

First and Second World War Memorial in Windhoek

World Wars Memorial and "Cross of Sacrifice" was unveiled in Windhoek in November 1981. Memorial commemorates those who died during the First and Second World Wars. Headstones with names of soldiers and officers stand on three sides of the Cross. There are 90 Commonwealth war graves from World War I and 4 from World War II. The monument is located in Robert Mugabe Avenue opposite of old Windhoek cemetery near 3 castles of Windhoek including Henitzburg.

Мемориал двух мировых войн с «Крестом жертвоприношения» был открыт в Виндхуке в ноябре 1981 года. Надгробия с именами солдат и офицеров расположены с трех сторон Креста. 90 захоронений относятся к первой мировой и 4 ко второй мировой войн. Мемориал расположен на авеню Роберта Мугабе в историческом центре столицы Намибии напротив старого кладбища недалеко от 3 замков Виндхука, включая Хайницбург.
