Kitchen upgrade
We are upgrading - to create a totally new and professional cooking environment, filled with fabulously tasting food. Our kitchen will get a facelift so that you will have the chance to experience the ultimate culinary taste adventure. Therefore our Restaurant “On the Edge” as well as our banqueting venues will be closed from 15 December 2014 until 28 February 2015.

Bed & Breakfast – open throughout
Our guest rooms will stay available throughout the kitchen upgrade period. Come and enjoy your Breakfast in our Palm View Lapa.

Come and join us with the special tradition of opening a door each day in December until Christmas Eve. Have a drink on our terrace between 1st and 23rd December and stand a chance to be surprised with a special present for that day.
During the kitchen upgrade period you are welcome to enjoy your lunch or dinner on our Terrace with an amazing view over the city. You will be able to hit the hot December season with refreshing sundowners as well as a small variety of dishes prepared to your satisfaction.

Desert Rhino Camp lies amongst rolling  rocky hills of the 450 000-hectare Palmwag Concession. This region is marked for its tranquil, minimalist beauty, surprising wealth of arid-adapted wildlife and the largest free-roaming black rhino population in Africa.

Set in a wide valley, accommodation at Desert Rhino Camp consists of eight raised Meru-style canvas tents with front verandas to take in the sweeping views in front dotted with scattered euphorbia and ancient welwitschia plants, and the dramatic Etendeka Mountains. The comfortable tented dining and lounge area is also elevated with partially open sides offering those panoramic views while a swimming pool provides a refreshing respite during the midday heat. Evening meals are often taken around the fire pit under the starry skies, known for their clarity.

Commanding vantage point over the plains of northern Namibia - Ongava Lodge

Ongava Lodge is cleverly constructed on the slopes of a small hill in the Ongava Game Reserve which lies on the southern boundary of Etosha National Park. From up here, you can sit back and watch wildlife abundance that come to drink at the waterhole just below – or sit quietly at the hide to see these close up.

13 chalets and one family room, attractively built out of brick, rock and thatch, have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and glass-fronted doors leading onto a private veranda. There are impressive views of the waterhole and surrounding plains from the main lounge, bar and dining areas. Meals are either served under thatch or on the dining deck under the stars.

Rotterdam visits Luderitz Namibia | Роттердам в Людериц Намибия

Around 1200 tourists aboard the 780-foot Rotterdam luxury liner on a cruise around the world visited Luderitz from Cape Town last week.

The Rotterdam is registered in the Netherlands and has a passenger capacity of 1400 passengers, a crew of 600 and a gross tonnage of 61500 metric tons.

During the short visit to coastal town that lasted from the morning until in the afternoon the tourists were in Namibia to experience the lifestyle of the local people as well as to acquaint themselves with the historical background of Luderitz.

This cruise ship left Europe on September 27 and will be back there on December 21. Tourists from Holland, Germany, Canada, Britain and Norway but mainly from the United States are some of those on the world trip aboard the Rotterdam.
