We have exciting news! Proflight will start Lusaka/Durban direct flights from Tuesday 22 September using the 50 seat CRJ jet aircraft!
The Lusaka/Durban direct flights will operate three times a week from 22 September. Durban flights are now open for sale.

The schedule will be as follows:

°    P0025 Durban to Lusaka - 14:10-16:40 - Tue/Thu

Air Namibia: change to Ondangwa, Rundu and Katima Mulilo routes flights schedule

Windhoek, May 2015; Air Namibia notifies all its esteemed and key Stakeholders that effective 31st May 2015, its flights to Rundu and Katima Mulilo is to change the point of departure from Hosea Kutako International airport to Eros airport.
As a consequence and to accommodate this change of airports, the Ondangwa midday flights that depart from Eros airport at 11h00 a.m. local time (SW103 and SW104) operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays are to be withdrawn from the schedule/operations from the 31st of May 2015. Departure times of these flights from Eros to Rundu and Katima Mulilo will be at 10:15 a.m. local time. The days of operation are to remain the same, i.e. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Namibia: Kalahari Anib Lodge news

Kalahari Anib Lodge will be undergoing a rigorous three-month facelift early next year. Following the rebranding in 2014, the ‘Feel Closer’ theme will now be implemented to enhance the Kalahari experience of the guests. The lodge will close for alterations and extensive renovations on 4 January 2016 and reopen on 1 April 2016.

“We trust that our partners will understand,” says Miriam Schmidt, the marketing manager of the Gondwana Collection. “Renovations have to be carried out at all the lodges at regular intervals in order to maintain the quality of the product. Alterations at Kalahari Anib Lodge will be so extensive that we decided to close for three months rather than expect guests to put up with the disturbances of construction work in progress.”

The freestanding chalets of the lodge complex will be converted into 22 comfort rooms including family units with fantastic views of the savannah. The 30 standard rooms around the courtyard will be thoroughly upgraded.
“On the whole we will bring more nature into the lodge”, says the architect in charge, Sven-Erik Staby. “The access road to the lodge will be shifted and lead through more enticing scenery in future. Walkways will be constructed behind the chalets so that guests can enjoy uninterrupted vistas of the savannah. And the new restaurant and large terrace will offer wonderful views of the waterhole to the east.”

Kalahari Anib Lodge will reopen on 1 April 2016. Our guests can look forward to a spacious new main building which will house the reception, a souvenir shop, a bar and a restaurant with a terrace of generous proportions.

Divava Okavango Lodge - overview & news

Located on the western side of the C48 road, about 11 km from Divundu and 5 km From Bagani, Divava Okavango Lodge and Spa really is one of its kind in Namibia ’s hidden wildlife paradise, where time stands still. The Lodge is nestled amongst majestic trees on the banks of the Okavango River, sharing common borders with the renowned Popa Falls and is only 20 minutes drive to the Mahango and Buffalo Game reserves.

The lodge boast 20 Luxury Chalets, a Bar, Restaurant, Wine Cellar, Swimming Pools, WiFi at reception area, Air Conditioning and Laundry service. Visa and Master Credit cards are welcome.

20 Luxury Chalets located on a high river bank, with a large deck giving an incredible view of the Okavango. All rooms are air conditioned, equipped with mosquito nets, mini bar, coffee and tea facilities, safe, Hairdryers, Double sinks and Separate toilet, an indoor shower and bath, plus an extravagant outdoor shower. The rooms are generous in size, and the outdoor deck has comfortable chairs, inviting the guests to enjoy the views over the river.

All 20 luxurious chalets has thatched roofs and are well wide spread in tranquil gardens.

Spa with different specialist treatment rooms, Swedish dry Sauna, Steam room and a Hydro bath The Spa has been designed to look similar to the huts of the local residents with each treatment room facing the Okavango River.
