Activities and accommodation guide
Otjiwa Safari Lodge, on the west side of B1 main road and 35 km south of Otjiwarongo is one of the most diverse Namibian ultimate holiday destination.
Otjiwa is renowned for its 24 beautiful dams, expanse of bushveld that conceals a treasure trove of African wildlife boasting some 40 free-roaming game species, including one of the country's largest herds of Sable Antelope, White Rhinoceros, and Roan Antelope both of which offer guests excellent chances of outstanding sightings.
The Otjiwa Experience include a wide variety of activities:
Game Drives (AM/PM): With the duration of 2 hours, the AM drive starts at 07h00 whereas the PM drive starts at 16h00 summer time and 15h30 winter time. PM Drive is possible with a sundowner as an additional 30 minutes extra to suite a Combo Drive. Guests can spot some of the more unusual antelope and even perhaps experience the excitement of an encounter with rhino. Your guide will point out a multitude of animals, birds and other flora and fauna as they appear along the way.
Night Game Drive: 2 hours (adults only) Starts at 18h30 summer time and 17h30 winter time. During the hours of darkness, many animals and creatures come out of hiding to hunt for food. This is a fantastic opportunity to glimpse what is happening, normally secret and unseen by humans.
Rhino Tracking on foot: Takes 4 hours on foot from 06h30 in the morning is a unique opportunity to track one of today's most endangered large mammals. Learn at close quarters about these amazing animals, why they must be protected, and what is being done to save them from extinction. An adventure of a lifetime,not to be missed. Solo or adult group, max 4 people. Pre-booking at least a day in advance is essential.
Guided Nature Walks: Starts at 15h30 and takes approximately 2 hours to cover up to 8 Km. Guests can observe the natural settings of Otjiwa as they patrol on marked path ways. Along the way there are great spotting for bird life, game animals and an opportunity for Sable encounter.

* 17 Elegant Deluxe Rooms - 1 Double bed or 2 Quarter beds, Air condition, Ensuite Bathroom, Small Refrigerator, TV
* 7 Eagle's Rest Chalets - Private Self Catering 2 Bedroom Chalets, 56 sqm. Six chalets have 1 queen bed and 2 single beds in each chalet while one chalet have 4 single beds, Ensuite Bathroom, Refrigerator.
* The Nest - 5 Bed Room Self Catering unit that sleep up to 10 People. Fully equipped with an Open Plan Kitchen. 2 rooms have 1 x queen sized bed and 3 rooms have twin beds.
