Tin producer AfriTin Mining announced completion of construction of the civil earthworks and platforms at the Uis tin mine in north-western Namibia.
It allowed AfriTin to progress the steel framework construction and equipment installation of the processing plant. The company expects the phase one pilot processing plant to process 500,000 tonnes per annum, producing around 60 tonnes of tin concentrate per month.
The plant will consist of a four-stage crushing plant and concentrator, which will employ dense media separation and gravity concentration circuits.
