Namibia: Fish River Lodge | Фиш Ривер Лодж Намибия

Located on the rim of the Fish River Canyon, Namibia’s second most visited tourist destination, Fish River Lodge offers forty guests breath-taking views directly over the canyon from sunrise to sunset.
The landscape around the western side of the canyon is vast, empty and ancient. Perfect for both solitude and adventure.  Explore the canyon and surrounds by foot, safari vehicle or mountain bike and experience the drama of this 500 million year old geological wonder.

The unique landscape has provided the inspiration for the contemporary design of the Lodge.  Dry packed stone walls, tall windows and wrap around decks allow the views of the canyon to take priority.

A rim pool overlooks the canyon providing cool comfort in the hot summer months whilst crackling fires inside the main lodge offer warmth and coziness in the winter.  A platform outside each chalet allows for outdoor sleeping or yoga whilst roof-top windows frame a myriad stars on dark nights.

The 45,000 hectare Canyon Nature Park is a sanctuary for Karoo succulent flora where the Aloe dichotoma, or Kokerboom, as it is locally known, stands sentinel and wildlife, including the rare Hartman’s Zebra, Oryx and Ostriches, appear and disappear in the rocky side canyons.

The Fish River Canyon is one of the world’s top hiking destinations. With access down to the Fish River and meandering paths on the rim of the canyon, we offer a host of adventure activities, guided and unguided.  These include mountain biking, slack packing or sundowner drives that allow you to experience the beauty, the vastness and the serenity of the Fish River Canyon.
