Namibia: changes to the PCR entry requirements easing of restrictions for EU travellers

Namibia has made changes to the PCR entry requirements and EU travellers that are fully vaccinated no longer need to quarantine.

Updates to Namibia's Entry Requirements

Easing of restrictions for EU travellers!

As of 1st August 2021, Namibia has been removed from the Virus Variant list by Germany, which is great news for European travellers. This means:

1. EU travellers can once again travel via Germany to Namibia.

2. German nationals that have been fully vaccinated with an EU approved vaccine are no longer required to quarantine on return home.

3. German nationals that are NOT fully vaccinated with an EU approved vaccine will have a 10-day quarantine on return home that can be shortened to 5 days pending a negative COVID test.

PCR Test validity reduced to 72 hours

The validity of Covid-19 PCR tests on arrival has been reduced from 7 days to 72 hours to align with the majority of other countries in the region.

However, in very positive news, COVID cases in Namibia are dropping, and the vaccination rate is increasing, making Namibia an EXCELLENT destination for travel!
