Namibia: Weavers Tourism & Marketing Services: Moon Mountain Lodge update

Weavers Tourism & Marketing Services

We hope you are having a much better season this year compared to the last few years under the COVID umbrella.

Amidst the challenges we still face from other directions, we remain positive that 2023 will be an even greater year for tourism.

As a matter of interest, we at Moon Mountain Lodge wish to inform everybody that the lodge is fully operational and open all year round. There was a recent rumor that the lodge is closed. This is not the case, please continue quoting and include Moon Mountain Lodge in your itineraries, we value and appreciate your support.

While the lockdowns persisted, Moon ML upheld its renovations and maintenance plans. All in an attempt to welcome our guests back to tip-top facilities and service with a view that will leave a lasting impression for a long time!

Moon Mountain Lodge offers luxury tented accommodation in the Namib Desert. The lodge can be seen at the foot of the Naukluft Mountains adjacent to the C19 road situated 30 km south of Solitaire. On route to the apricot-colored dunes of Sossusvlei, yet far enough for travelers looking for privacy and solitude, the lodge is ideal for independent travelers.

There are 11 Luxury tented rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a private deck, each with its own splash pool. There are also 6 spacious suites boasting all these facilities plus an extra private lounge area for the ultimate relaxation hub. All rooms have solid king-size bed bases with large individual matrasses and individual duvets and bedding. The bed can not be moved apart in case a twin room is requested, we suggest single rooms are booked if sharing is not possible. The units are elevated on stilts above the surroundings, making them extra environmentally friendly. The chic canvas construction permits ventilation from the prevailing west wind that cools the rooms at the hottest time of the year. This ultimately makes guests feel closer to nature.

As you are surrounded by a breathtaking environment, there is no need for a television. Scattered herds of gemsbok, springbok, and mountain zebra can be viewed from the privacy of your unit while they graze the plains below.
