Open Africa Field Trip Update

Over the last few months, Open Africa has been working behind the scenes to develop the brochures maps for the three routes and uploading participant information onto the NTB website.

All three maps will be finalised by the end of January 2014 and we also plan to have the NTB website with all the route information ready by then.

Open Africa and Grant Thornton will be travelling to Namibia in January 2014 to meet with key stakeholders and route forum members to present the sample brochure and develop annual plans for each of the routes.

Between 14 January 2014 and 16 January 2014 we will meet with various stakeholders in Windhoek. Thereafter, Open Africa will travel to Shamvura for a planning meeting and the development of the annual plan for the Four Rivers route. On Saturday, 18 January 2014 the Kavango Open Africa Route will hold their AGM. From there, we travel to the Omulunga Palm Route to develop their annual plan and finally a visit to Sesfontein to develop the Arid Eden annual plan.

A feedback session will be held in Windhoek on Friday, 24 January 2014 for all interested stakeholders . Details regarding the meeting will be communicated  early in January 2014.
