Solitaire Country Lodge: Due to a major rain and wind storm at Solitaire one of the large gum trees was uprooted and caused damage to the infrastructure at the lodge. Reservations are moved over to adjacent Solitaire Guest Farm so repair work can be made. Solitaire Country Lodge will thus be closed off until the 9th of February.
Our reservations office is currently moving and notifying the affected bookings. All bookings will be honored at the same rate. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your cooperation in this regard.
Solitaire is located at the corner of the C19 & C14 roads, its probably the busiest intersection in the Namib. It is also on one of the main routes leading to Sossusvlei. Viewed as popular stop over for many guests and Tour Operators alike, Solitaire is on a mission to make a difference this year!
Starting with a re-brand of the product, the name has changed to “Solitaire Namibia”. The new website is in progress and should go live in the next week or two. With the re-branding, improved service levels, better quality accommodation, and food offering can be expected. The restaurant and bakery will soon be at a whole different level with more choice and an interesting menu. Structural changes to certain facilities and lodge surroundings can be expected over time but, will not impact on the guest experience.
In case of unforeseen circumstances during the repair phase, relocating of bookings will be communicated to you as a matter of precaution. Solitaire Guest Farm will be the alternative option to relocate such bookings. We view it as an upgrade without cost implication.
