Complimentary chartered boat excursion, shared with other Santorini guests, to Magaruque Island on one of Santorini’s boats departing at 09H00 am. Enjoy a snorkeling excursion at the reef and when you are ready to relax, you will be taken to the island where a delicious picnic lunch and refreshments will be laid out for you under a gazebo. Here you will have time to explore the island before returning to Santorini at 3.00 pm. (Park fees excluded)
TAKE TO THE SKIES
Vilanculos is a year round destination, as the clear skies, warm temperatures and sunny days create the perfect tropical weather all year round.
Airlink connects our guests to Vilanculos with daily direct flights from Johannesburg. Flights from Nelspruit to Vilanculos have also resumed and are available on Mondays and Fridays weekly.
Below are a few of the Airline companies that will take to the Mozambican sky’s in the coming months: Ethiopian Airlines (Flights from Addis Ababa to Maputo), TAP Air Portugal (Flights from Lisbon to Maputo) and Air France (with various flights to Maputo).
PLEASE NOTE: Airlink has updated their check-in flight and boarding time requirements. Passengers must present themselves for check-in at the designated check-in counter no later than 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of the regional flight to Vilanculos from OR Tambo International airport.
Santorini Mozambique has a lounge at Vilanculos Airport for the exclusive use of our guests on arrival and departure. Decorated in Santorini’s signature style, this comfortable space is an extension of Santorini’s hospitality with complimentary amenities, including Non-alcoholic beverages, Snack station, Coffee machine, Coffee table books, Wi-Fi, and Air-conditioning.
PASSPORTS & VISAS: Passport holders must have a passport with at least 6 months validity on it and 2 blank pages. International visitors to Mozambique who require a visa can purchase a single entry visa on arrival at Vilanculos Airport.
THE BEACHES ARE OPEN
The beaches in front of the Villa are surrounded by the Bazaruto Archipelago island. The coastal waters are shallow and clear for a few hundred meters and low tides are normally showcased by meters of beautiful sand patterns as the water draws back into the deeper ocean.
Our guests have the opportunity to experience everything Santorini has to offer; all leisure activities including swimming, walking, beach picnics, kayaks, stand-up paddleboarding and beach sporting activities.
Mosey down to the beach where we have 6 large cabanas to provide plenty of shade, along with shower and toilet facilities. The beach is set up daily with beach chairs, towels and comfy bean bags for use.
Santorini proudly supports the Vilanculos Beach Clean-up Team.If you’d like to get involved and help us save our marine life, grab a basket from the tree at the beach when taking a walk and pick up any beach debris.

FLY FISHING THE BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO
The Bazaruto Archipelago is a fisherman’s paradise, offering year-round opportunities to land a memorable catch. Large contour shifts have created thriving, unspoilt coral reefs and drop offs at varying depths within the Bazaruto Archipelago. With the abundance of bait fish from the bay areas, these such regions host and attract a great deal of gamefish which make it the ideal fly fishing destination. We now offer a full day flyfishing activity that can be booked year round.
