The death trap in Omusati, Namibia

The Etaka water strip near Onesi in the Omusati Region is drying up and has become a death trap for thirsty cattle and donkeys searching for water and grazing as a result of the current drought situation. Pictured here on Saturday is one of the animals, which had fallen prey to the strip. The animals get stuck in the mud and people do not help them because they fear that they, too, will end up stuck. – Nampa
