Namibia's national airline, Air Namibia, and Germany's flag carrier, Lufthansa, have signed a commercial agreement (SPA). The SPA allows Air Namibia to offer "one stop" flights between the United Kingdom and Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek. The intermediate point is Lufthansa's main hub at Frankfurt Airport.
Connecting / transit times at Frankfurt Airport in both directions are between 1 hour to 2 hours, so that Air Namibia's flights are currently the shortest possible options for travel between the United Kingdom and Windhoek in Namibia. The airline operates 6 flights per week between Frankfurt Airport and Windhoek's Hosea Kutako International Airport.
