Erindi Ranch has officially been offered to Government for N$1.3 billion

Erindi Ranch (Pty) has officially been offered to Government through the Ministry of Lands and Resettlement for possible acquisition.

The game reserve is the registered owner of the property known as Farm Erindi No. 58 and Constantia No. 60 in Registration Division C. If the recent media reports are anything to go by, Government may acquire the game reserve for N$1.3b. The property, title No. T2804/1986, measures at 65, 175, 1415 hectares and is the largest privately-owned game reserve in the Sadc region, with the largest elephants in the world, the largest lions in the world, as well as the richest biodiversity in the world and it has an electrical fence. The only nearest comparison to this natural jewel, which has since been eyed by Chinese investors,is with game reserves in
South Africa.

The game reserve is home to lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, hippopotamuses, elands, crocodiles, many bird species, giraffes as well as hyenas.

Eirndi is owned by relatives Gert and Paul Joubert.
