Namibia: Omarunga Camp gallery | Омарунга Кемп Намибия

Omarunga Camp is located on the banks of the Kunene River, only a short walk upstream from the spectacular Epupa Falls. Hidden in the shade of the exotic Makalani palmtrees, this little paradise is definitely one of Namibia's most secluded getaways. The lush vegetation along the majestic Kunene forms a sharp contrast with the surrounding Kaokoland mountains and dusty plains.

After an environmentally-sensitive and inspiring rebuild, Wilderness Safaris’ Serra Cafema Camp, in Namibia’s extreme north-west, has reopened. Located in one of the most remote regions in southern Africa, on the banks of the Kunene River in the Hartmann’s Valley, Serra Cafema offers life-changing journeys to this extraordinary desert location, ensuring the ongoing biodiversity protection of this pristine area and positively impacting the local community members of the Marienfluss Conservancy.
The new camp celebrates local Himba culture and its extraordinary remote desert location.

Namibia: Okahirongo Elephant Lodge | Окахиронго Намибия

#OkahirongoElephantLodge #PurrosConservancy #Namibia #HimbaTribe #KuneneRiver #Kaokoland #Marienfluss #Окахиронго #Намибия

Okahirongo Namibia
Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is located in the Purros Conservancy, 55 km from the Skeleton Coast of Namibia. Often described as one of the last true wilderness areas, the Kaokoveld is home to the nomadic Himba tribe as well as uniquely desert adapted Elephant, lion, black rhino and giraffe. Terracotta buildings are cleverly positioned to make the most of the grand views over the rugged Purros valley – blessed with its lush green river bed and purple mountains in the distance.
Okahirongo River Camp is an eco-friendly lodge built on a sweeping ridge and opening up to breathtaking views of the Kunene River. Tucked far into the north-western reaches of Namibia, the Marienfluss region is a remote wilderness area where the rough roads and lack of facilities keep travellers at bay. Cleverly built into the rocky terrain, the four luxurious double tents, one twin tent and one family suite are constructed with wood and canvas and each have a magnificent view of their own.

Namibia: Serra Cafema Lodge Renovations | Серра Кафема Намибия

Serra Cafema Renovations

The Serra Cafema Camp has informed us that official reopening of the rebuilt camp set for 6 June to 31 August 2018 has been postponed to 01 September 2018.
This is due to a series floods, breaking the banks of the Kunene River.
To avoid disruption to those guests already booked into camp over that time the camp has decided to erect temporary tented camps nearby and to staff it with their central training and other expert staff.

Namibia: Epupa Falls Camp | Эпупа Кемп Намибия

Namibia: Epupa Camp

Epupa Camp offers you a relaxing yet exhilarating few days of personalised service and excellent meals in the seclusion of a lush riverine wilderness of ana trees, wild figs, Makalani palms and African baobabs.
Epupa Camp is situated on the southern bank of the Kunene River, from which the Kunene Region in the northwest of Namibia, takes its name. Epupa Falls, acclaimed by many international travel writers as a must-see tourism destination, is about as far north as you can drive in Namibia.
Epupa Camp offers three kinds of accommodation, namely tented rooms, self-catering tented-campsites and traditional campsites, where you do the do-it-yourself-roughing-it, or the city-sleeker caravan or rooftop camping.
