Rattray's Camp reopens
We are excited to announce that Rattray’s Camp, the jewel in the MalaMala crown, has reopened following an extensive renovation completed early in May 2023.
The purpose of the renovation was to rejuvenate and breathe renewed life into the suites, facilities and hospitality of the camp, while still maintaining the essence of timeless, old-world charm for which Rattray’s Camp is so cherished.
The humble, understated elegance that has always underpinned the character of Rattray’s Camp has been carefully preserved, while a subtle, updated safari touch has been introduced throughout the camp.
The detail in the design has been inspired by the rich colour pallet of the South African bushveld. Warm and welcoming colours, with accents of rose gold, copper sunsets and delicate greens carry some of the gentle textures and elements of the surrounding environment indoors.
The suites are ensconced amongst ancient trees, immersed in nature on the banks of the Sand River. The suites provide privacy, peace and tranquility and have undergone a reinvigorating 'facelift'.
Furniture has been repositioned, giving the suites an airy and brighter space. The two bathrooms in each suite have been redesigned and given a new, contemporary look.
