Botswana: Third Bridge access update

Xomae Group (PTY) LTD is with great pleasure to inform all concerned that Third Bridge Campsite can be accessed as from the 05th of May 2017. An alternative access road on your left by the Bodumatau junction have been identified/constructed with signage to indicate which route to travel on to Third Bridge campsite. Please note that the detour is only 2.4 km from the Bodumatau junction to the Third Bridge main road. There will be another detour just before First Bridge which is also well signaged to avoid driving through water.

Update on flooding at Bodumatau/Third Bridge intersection

The team was dispatched to assess the flooding of Xini/Third bridge access road in conjuction with Department of Wildlife and National Parks. A report was presented by the expedition team on the ground observations in order to map a way forward. A decision was made to continue with the closure of Third Bridge Campsite until an alternative detour route has been identified and constructed with further assessment by park managemnt.
Xomae Group (PTY) LTD will therefore keep you abreast with any new developments regarding accessing Third Bridge campsites.
