EXCITING CHANGES AT UUKWALUUDHI SAFARI LODGE

Uukwaluudhi Safari Lodge, situated within a private 6000h fenced reserve on the popular “Arid Eden Route” in north-western Namibia, has announced the sale of the Lodge to the new owners. The new owners who has a had number of interests in the Namibian hospitality industry, including Camp Kwando and Camp Chobe takes ownership on the 1st September 2017. It was acquired by business partners, Johan Liebenberg and Ben Bouwer, who’s long standing involvement in the Namibian hospitality industry is well known and respected.

“Our decision to acquire Uukwaluudhi Safari Lodge was motivated primarily by our strategy to focus and invest more in wildlife Conservancy, and the tourism opportunities in the unspoilt Kunene region, where many opportunities still awaits us to continue marketing this beautiful “Arid Eden route”.

Johan Liebenberg stressed that even with a change of ownership in the Lodge management,  the variety of accommodation, activities and other offerings at Uukwaluudhi, will proceed as normal, while relationships with national and international agents and operators will continue to be cemented and expanded. The lodge will continue to maintain a good and integrated relationship and build on all the existing relationships with other business partners and most importantly the community. “Our agreement includes numerous aspects in which we will still be closely involved with the Conservancy and the local community.”

Amongst a number of exciting developments planned by the new owners is a Boma facility, an upgraded campsite, and a general revamp.
“We are confident that the new ownership focus and envisioned new and upgraded facilities will see the property become an preferred establishment for tourists visiting this beautiful region of Namibia.” Liebenberg said.
