Botswana: renovations at Camp Moremi | Кемп Мореми Ботсвана

Botswana's Camp Moremi is going to undergo renovations in 2018

Management of Camp Moremi, in Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana informed of it’s plans to undergo a complete renovation whereby the entire camp will be rebuilt on a raised deck, connected to rooms/suites with raised walkways which will protect guests from the multitude of surrounding game that frequents the camp.

“Guests will access the camp on gradual elevated decks leading up to a welcome area and curio shop. The elevated public areas will be positioned to create more private areas for our guests to relax and enjoy the environment as well as the views of the Xakanaxa lagoon,” said James Wilson – Moremi Camp's marketing manager.

He added that the new camp will be open for business at the beginning of May 2018. Stay tuned to find out more about the opening rates for Camp Moremi and to reserve your spot in this newly renovated piece of Africa's paradise.

Camp Moremi will undergo a complete rebuild, commencing 01 December 2017 and the newly rebuilt Camp Moremi will open on 01 May 2018.
Camp Moremi will be rebuilt in its existing site with the dining, lounge and other public areas raised high up in the ebony tree connected by elevated boardwalks. Guests will access the camp on gradual elevated decks leading up to a welcome area and curio shop. The elevated public areas will be beautifully positioned to create more private areas for our guests to relax and enjoy the environment as well as the views of the Xakanaxa Lagoon.
Honouring the traditional style of the camp, the boardwalk will descend to ground level where pathways will lead to the rooms, fireplace, swimming pool and the famous Xakanaxa Lagoon viewing deck.
The twelve rooms, consisting of eleven standard rooms and one large family room, will be constructed using a combination of traditional canvas tenting and modern natural materials designed to keep the rooms cool, bright and spacious. Each room will be built within the rich riparian forest which will provide cooling shade and a myriad of bird and animal life around the camp.
