FLIGHT ROUTES 

Connecting the Kruger National Park & Zambezi Queen Collection

Fastjet is launching flights from Victoria Falls to Nelspruit’s Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport from 16 March 2022. This is perfect for Zambezi Queen Collection guests who wish to include South Africa's iconic game viewing destination - the Kruger National Park - in their travel plans.

The direct flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday using the airline’s Embraer ERJ145 aircraft. From July 2022, the service will be increased to a daily flight linking these popular tourist destinations.

FlyNamibia

In April 2022, Westair Aviation will – under its new brand FlyNamibia – operate daily flights between Katima Mulilo and Victoria Falls for guests wanting to visit this iconic destination. Road transfers can be organised for guests from Victoria Falls to the Zambezi Queen Collection’s boarding point at the Kasane river border.

Impalila Island Runway

The Zambezi Queen Collection recently renovated the runway on Impalila Island, situated at the far eastern tip of Namibia. The runway upgrade means guests can charter a private aircraft to Namibia and have easier access to the properties in our collection.

BORDER UPDATES

Namibia has implemented the African Union’s Trusted Travel System (TTS) for the verification of COVID-19 test results and vaccination certificates prior to travel. This system is already in use in countries like Kenya and Tanzania and enables travellers to embark on a hassle-free journey.

A trial phase of the system is underway, if successful, it is intended that use of the platform will be compulsory for all travellers entering Namibia from 16 January 2022. For more information please visit this website.

Three Chobe Princesses are getting a makeover

We’re pleased to announce that our three Chobe Princesses are currently undergoing numerous interior and exterior improvements to enhance the guest experience. Refurbishments are due to be completed by the end of April 2019.

Chobe Princess Refurbishments

Floating along the mighty Chobe River between the borders of Botswana and Namibia, the Zambezi Queen Collection comprises four houseboats, including the luxurious Zambezi Queen and her three Chobe Princesses, as well as the secluded tented Ichingo Chobe River Lodge.

At the Zambezi Queen Collection, we take great pride in providing guests with unique safari experiences. It’s therefore with much excitement that we announce our three Chobe Princesses are getting a makeover!

All three houseboats are currently undergoing a number of stylish improvements to maintain the excellent standards guests have come to expect from the award-winning Zambezi Queen Collection.

The new look will reflect a relaxed river safari theme complemented by a nautical palette of blue, grey, navy and white.

Cabins will be furnished with new beds, flooring, storage spaces, furniture and accessories. Bathrooms will also receive upgrades with modern fittings and flooring. New chairs and tables will rejuvenate dining areas to create a more sophisticated and comfortable dining experience. In addition, pool decks will be restored to allow for leisurely days of suntanning and refreshing dips in the pool.

The houseboat exteriors will be re-panelled and painted to ensure that guests are greeted in style from the moment they step aboard. While all soft furnishings will also be updated to provide consummate comfort throughout the houseboat interiors.

The refurbishment is well underway and is due to be completed by the end of April 2019.

The tent is adjoining and ideal for 2 adults in one tent and up to 4 kids under the age of 12 to share accordingly. What's even better? The staff and guides at the lodge are used to dealing with kids at the property and are more than happy to keep the inquisitive youngsters company during your client's stay.

Dear friends,

It gives great pleasure to introduce Shameena Masoet and Genevieve Paulsen to everyone.
Shameena and Genevieve have recently started with us at the Zambezi Queen Collection and will be based in our Cape Town office, they will be looking after the reservations functions for the Chobe Princesses and Ichingo Chobe River Lodge.

Having spent a full week on the Chobe River experiencing our full product range including the Zambezi Queen, the Chobe Princesses and Ichingo Chobe River Lodge and enjoying every moment on the river, they are now fully aware of how we operate and are looking forward to assisting with their day to day functions in our reservations department.

Shameena and Genevieve have a strong background in the travel industry having both worked for various hotel and lodge groups in their reservations departments prior to joining us.
We recently made the decision to move the Johannesburg office to our Cape Town offices as of the 23rd of June 2016 and the entire Zambezi Queen Collection is now in the same premises.

Lisa Dyboll, Sales and Marketing Manager for the Chobe Princesses and Ichingo Chobe River Lodge will still be based in the Johannesburg office.
