#SossusvleiLodge #Sesriem #Sesriem #SossusvleiNamibia #TaleniAfricanews #Namibia #redsanddunes

Extensive revamp of Sossusvlei Lodge were completed at the end of June 2017 and we are delighted by all the positive feedback since.

Sossusvlei Lodge now offers a combination of 44 superior and 3 standard family units as well as a luxurious Junior Suite which has been carefully planned to blend in perfectly with the surrounding natural environment and to retain the authentic feeling of being close to nature.

The Superior Units feature a patio to enjoy the magnificent views over the Desert landscapes and a spacious air-conditioned bedroom featuring twin beds. In addition there is a corner couch, refreshment area with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, luggage space, in-room safe and a complimentary turn-down service. Each of the stylish en suite bathrooms is equipped with a modern corner bathtub, spacious shower, toilet and double vanity.

The Standard Family Units feature two rooms back to back connected by a lockable inter-leading door between the two private bathrooms. The interiors and décor are the same as the superior units and the en suite bathroom features a double vanity, toilet and spacious shower.

The elegant Junior Suite serves as a tranquil romantic retreat in the Desert. Designed to fully take advantage of the unsurpassed views extending over the Desert landscapes, the Suite consists of a spacious air-conditioned bedroom with a luxurious queen-size bed, an adjacent living area and a private terrace boasting a small splash pool.  In addition there is an elegant bathroom with walk-in shower, separate toilet, double vanity and a freestanding feature bath underneath a skylight to admire the star studded skies whilst taking a relaxing bath. Amenities include a refreshment area with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, spacious closet, comfortable couch, safe and a complimentary turn-down service.

Apart from the accommodation units, we have extended our bar area, added a new sundowner deck, enhanced the pool area and did some upgrades to our curio shop, the beergarden.
The iconic entrance to Sossusvlei Lodge has a new fresh look, the grill area at the buffet boasts a new design and indoor dining area has been enlarged to accommodate more guests for luncheons.

Namibia: Desert Camp renovations

#TaleniAfricaNewsNamibia #DesertCamp #SossusvleiLodge #SesriemSossusvleiNamibia

Taleni is pleased to announce that our Desert Camp will receive a full renovation from January to end of May 2018.

The camp will be completely closed during this period and Desert Quiver Camp or Sossusvlei Lodge can be used as alternative accommodation options.

The new Desert Camp concept will combine modern comfort within a setting that perfectly blends in with the breath-taking landscape that surrounds it.

The design focus of our new units is to incorporate the natural contrasts, contours and textures most evident in our desert environment.

Apart from renovating the current rooms, we will also be adding an additional 8 units to our collection and hope by having a total of 28 guest rooms will alleviate availability struggles in future. Our main building area will be re-designed to offer a more spacious bar, pool and relaxation area.

Each spacious bedroom unit will feature twin beds, a fold-out sleeper couch, space for suitcases, shelves, hanging space and an electronic safe. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a spacious walk in shower, toilet and wash basin with vanity space.

The patio will be equipped with a unique barbecue facility that allows spectacular views over the vast desert plains, fitted kitchenette with a wash up area, under counter fridge, 2-plate hob and a wooden bench for seating.
