FIRST DIAMOND MUSEUM OPENS IN BOTSWANA
Botswana has opened its first diamond museum, the Adrian Gale Diamond Museum, in Orapa.
The museum displays the significant journey and milestones of diamond mining in Botswana. It explains the mining processes and mining products and also features a curio shop, a coffee shop, a storage area, visitors’ lounge as well as indoor and outdoor display areas. There has also been investment into the expansion of the Orapa Game Park, which has a large variety of species, including a thriving population of white rhinos.
