Social Responsibility - The Lidar Foundation
On Saturday 16 September 2018 members of the TDM Namibia team joined the girls from the Lidar Foundation for a day of general mentoring and interaction with heaps of fun and edutainment.
The Lidar Community Foundation is a newly established foundation based in Katutura central acting as a house of safety for orphaned and vulnerable girls and young mothers.
The team spent an hour of training with on sexual reproduction and health rights with the girls, as well as training the girls on professional cupcake baking with the help of a few extra friends.
The TDM Namibia team also donated goodies which are of vital importance to young women but are not readily available or affordable for the girls. The team also donated baking ingredients for the high school teen girls program as a way of continuing their bakery training.
