Sossus Oasis is practically situated right in front of the entrance gate to the Namib-Naukluft National Park (Sossusvlei) at Sesriem, the area well known for the towering red sand dunes of the Namib Desert and the awe inspiring depths of the Sesriem Canyon, this new camp site offers luxury facilities in a clean, tidy and well kept environment.
12 camping units in the camp site, arranged in a semi-circle to afford privacy with views, Each unit has its own toilet, washbasin, hot/cold shower, kitchen wash-up facilities. Sossus Oasis Camp Site Namibia: light, BBQ and 220V electricity point. Other centralised facilities include a sparkling pool and, just a short walk away, a fully stocked shop, take-away meals, groceries, toiletries, drinks, ice, Internet, clothing, curios, fuel, diesel and tyre workshop.
Group camp sites: nestled in the spectacular grassland, offering endless views of the Namib Desert and surrounding mountains with Elim Dune in the background. These spacious camp sites are ideal for larger groups (10-30 persons) travelling together. Group sites are conveniently located nest to the entrance gate of Namib-Naukluft Park, within walking distance from Sossus Oasis shop, service station and swimming pool.
Each camp site is shaded by camel thorn tree and equipped with power points, running water, lights braai (barbeque) area.
Separate ladies/gents bathroom facilities: toilets, wash basins and showers. The best views of the Namib are guaranteed! See photo gallery here.
The closest restaurant is a mere 500 metres away at Sossusvlei Lodge while fully equipped self-catering facilities are available at Desert Camp, just 5 kilometres down the road.
