Namibia: inauguration of the Omakange-Ruacana unlocks tourism potential
Namibian President Hage Geingob said the inauguration of the Omakange-Ruacana road would unlock tourism potential of Omusati and Kunene and makes it more accessible to tourists.
The Omakange-Ruacana road was initiated by former president Hifikepunye Pohamba and has been under construction for the past two years.
Other projects expected to take off in the near future are tarring of the Swakopmund-Henties Bay-Kamanjab road, connecting Erongo and Kunene regions of Namibia.
The tarring of the Opuwo-Epupa road has been included in budget. Opuwo-Sesfontein in Kunene Region and Oshakati-Ruacana roads, connecting Omusati and Oshana will also be resurfaced.
