Full Day Sandwich Harbour Excursion
Sandwich Harbour is part of the Namib Naukluft Park; this place is a magical place where dune meets within the sea. These forms of Sand Sea Dune that run straight into the ocean create sceneries and unique landscapes.
Our tour starts at 10:00 at Laramon Deck office in Walvis Bay. After meeting with your guide and all set and ready. our First stop will be at Rooibank where we will visit a Local Village and then drive through the river bed into the Kuiseb Delta, a dry riverbed full of History of the local people who use to live in this Delta, today animal such springbok see refuge and may be seen.
The change in landscape that make our journey the most beautiful just as we are about to enter Sandwich Harbour. Sandwich Habour can be access base on the condition of the weather between low tide and high tide, the best way of experiencing this Southern Africa’s richest and unique wetlands is by foot or by car.
Our alternative route will also allow us to see the Sandwich Habour by our hot spot on top of the dune as can see the lagoon and it’s wildlife.
Your guide will finds a suitable place along the beach or depend on the weather to serves a light lunch with a selection of snacks, bread, fresh fruit, some fresh Walvis Bay oysters and sparkling wine and drinks. All Equipment for this picnic will be provided and voila Lunch ready.
On our way back, your guide will keep sharing his knowledge on Flora and Fauna, the Area with the most highlight is the Roaring Dune which give you an exceptional view of the landscape.
Our second last stop will be to the Africa Largest Salt Pan and the Walvis Bay Lagoon
