Ellerman House announced the opening of its highly anticipated Ellerman House Wine Gallery and a sensational second luxury villa to be known as Villa Two.
Integrating contemporary architecture with breathtaking sculpture and progressive design, the new wine gallery will showcase Ellerman House’s 7500-strong, award-winning South African wine collection and offer guests a unique, interactive experience. Besides being an inspiring, experiential space in which to taste wine, the gallery includes an interactive multi-media wine library, maturation cellars, and a brandy tasting lounge. A special feature is a Champagne Cellar, stocked exclusively with rare and special vintages of Dom Perignon. Ellerman House has also devised a wine App for iPad that provides layers of detailed information about South African wines, including tasting notes for individual wines in synch with the hotel’s wine list.
Built above the wine gallery, Villa Two offers 3 luxury bedrooms with open-plan bathrooms, and a study area and surround-sound mini cinema. On the top level, entertainment, dining and living areas lead outdoors to an infinity pool and outdoor patio. Designed with absolute privacy in mind, the villa accommodation is for exclusive use only, and comes with its own private staff and chef.
