Namibia: Koedoesrus Camp renovations in the Namib-Naukluft Park finished & photos | Кудусрус Кемп Намибия

A six new chalets has been added when Koedoesrus Camp in the Namib-Naukluft Park has received a facelift, giving the facility a total of 20 camping sites. The camp also boasts brand new ablution facilities.

Revamping expenditure amounted to N$ 7.9 million, according to the Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR), the owner of the camp. The amount is below the initial budget of N$ 8.3 million.

The renovated Koedoesrus Camp, located between Solitaire and Maltahöhe, has recruited
10 new staff members, bringing the total number employed to 15.

In the past Koedoesrus had only five tour guides as employees. The camp is located in
the Naukluft section of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, initially created as a sanctuary
for the endangered Hartmann’s mountain zebra (prohibited diamond area
in the past). The Naukluft area, rich in history and geological phenomena is also extreme scenic and beautiful.

The Naukluft Mountains are popular for hiking (Naukluft hiking trail) and 4x4 Nauklfuft trail while also offering majestic rock pools near the Koedoesrus Camp.
Koedoesrus offers basic amenities, a kiosk, bar and a swimming pool as well as 4x4 trail, hiking trails and nature walks.

The Naukluft Mountains in Namibia: a mountain range in central plateau of the country. The southern part of Naukluft mountain range forms the eastern part of the Namib-Naukluft National Park, the largest in Africa.
There are some privately-owned game and cattle farms occupying northern mountains.
