Fire at Wildside Safari Camp

Wildside Safari Camp, one of the five Entabeni Lodges in the Entabeni Safari Conservancy located in Limpopo, South Africa, was damaged by a bushfire on Thursday, 08 October 2015.

The camp lost its reception, lounge and bar areas, as well as nine of the 20 thatched canvas rooms. None of the guests or staff members were injured in the fire and none of Entabeni’s other lodges were affected. The guests staying at Wildside during the period of the fire were evacuated and upgraded to Hanglip Mountain Lodge and Legend Golf & Safari Resort for the remainder of their stay.

Wildside Safari Camp is closed and will re-open towards the end of November 2015 – the exact opening date will be confirmed closer to the time. Guests booked at Wildside over this period will be upgraded to one of the other Entabeni lodges.
