Kapani Lodge - a New Chapter
In 1986 Kenneth Kaunda, the first President of Zambia, opened the famous Kapani Safari Lodge – Norman Carr’s pipe dream and final home in the South Luangwa National Park. From first timers, safari experts, royalty, politicians to sport stars, Kapani has provided countless guests from across the world with authentic first class safaris.
We have all experienced and shared many fond memories at Kapani but following in the footsteps of Norman Carr, who always knew when to move forward and embrace change, we at Norman Carr Safaris have made the decision to close Kapani's doors to the public. The Company will concentrate on the exclusive safari experiences that we offer in our famous Luangwa Valley bush camps, our wildly luxurious Chinzombo, and now in the remote Liuwa Plains National Park.
From the 1st December 2015 Kapani Lodge will no longer host guests. She will however remain an integral part of the Norman Carr fabric by being upgraded to our Company Operational Headquarters and stylish family Homestead.
Our reservations and sales team will be in touch over the coming weeks to answer any questions you may have, but rest assured your clients – our guests – will continue to experience exactly what Norman Carr would have wanted - authentic world class safari experiences, sharing and preserving the unique wilderness of the Luangwa Valley and the highest standards of service.
We thank you for all your support and look forward to a new chapter in the Company’s history.
From Dave and the whole Norman Carr Safaris Team
