South Africa: The Crown Hotel renovtions & information

The Crown Hotel is situated in Ladysmith a city in the Uthukela District of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

It is 230 kilometres north-west of Durban and 365 kilometres south of Johannesburg.

Ideally located in the centre of Ladysmith allowing easy access for all. The property has its own secure on-site parking with ample loading zones at the entrance whilst one checks in and then move your car to the secure parking area.

This hotel is family owned and has gone through a “total facelift” bringing it in line with the best properties and facilities not only in the area but in the country.

Accommodation:

Accommodation consists of 59 tastefully and newly renovated, spacious on suite bedrooms consisting of double or twin rooms.

All rooms are air-conditioned and have the expected in room facilities of tea/coffee making facilities and amenities with some of the superior rooms having fridges and microwaves in room too.

CONFERENCE AND FUNCTION FACILITIES:

Conference facilities have state-of-the art equipment and able to accommodate up to 220 conference delegates in schoolroom if all the venues are opened up into one.

They are very flexible and are able to accommodate most needs or requirements including areas for break a way.

With these large facilities weddings, functions and celebrations are a “walk in the park” for them. The experienced banqueting team and catering staff take events in their stride as this is their passion.

FOOD - RESTAURANT - DINING AREA
Meals at this property can vary from home-cooked buffet to sit down served “black tie” functions and anything “in between”.

PUB - POOL - CHILL AREA

A vibrant action bar on the corner of the building lends itself to decadent cocktails and theme evenings for conferences or those “bulls’ parties” where close accommodation is a necessity.

There is an outside “chill” area close to the pool, which can be used for a casual meeting or braai to a formal cocktail party for top dignitaries.

Other chill areas where delegates can meet or just relax and read a book or enjoy a cup or glass of beverage.
