Dear Rössmund Friends,

Attached please see the menu for the Greek Festival of Flowers to be held this coming Sunday Lunch at the Rössmund Clubhouse Restaurant.  Please email Hendrik at catering@rossmund.com or phone 064-405644 to make reservations for the Greek Sunday Lunch Buffet.

Did you know?   Anthêsteria, one of the several Athenian festivals in honour of Dionysus, the wine god, was held annually for three days in the month of Anthesterion (February–March) to celebrate the beginning of spring and the maturing of the wine stored at the previous vintage.  Of course, here in the southern Hemisphere, our Spring falls only in the later part of the year, namely September-November. Though locals to Swakopmund often say that while we have no true spring at the coast, we often experience all 4 seasons in a day! Wink, wink…

For lovers of all things spicy and full of flavour, the Rössmund Lodge Curry Evening  for this Friday, 25th September  will feature:

·         Beef Madras curry with Jasmine rice and Seeni sambal (or for those needing a ‘cooling down’ we have a yoghurt-based sambal available) – N$90.00
·         Baked apple pie with vanilla ice cream – N$35.00

Did you know?  Madras curries are robust and fiery and can stand up to sambal intrusions. The Seeni sambal is also known as the devilled onion sambal and originates from Sri Lanka.

Please email lodge@rossmund.com or phone 064-414600 to make reservations for the curry evening.

We look forward to seeing you at the above events!
