Wildlife kills 48 Namibians between 2013 and 2015

The Ministry of Environment and Tourism has confirmed that 48 Namibians were killed by wild animals for the past two years. Out of that number only two cases were recorded in Erongo Region (snake bites) while majority of deaths occured in Kavango and Zambezi Regions (crocodile and elephant attacks). Number of injured Namibians can not be established.

Statistics show that 17 people were killed in 2013, 19 in 2014 and 12 people died in 2015.
