Windhoek Country Club Resort - bright outlook
Legacy Hotels, the owners of the Windhoek Country Club and Resort together with the Namibian Government, are optimistic on WCCR's outlook for the future.
It came amidst announcements by City Lodges and Tsogo Sun about their expansion into Namibia.
The hotel has cash reserves of N$80 million, various cosmetic changes are planned for the hotel including installation of solar panels to reduce power costs.
All rooms and public areas will be refurbished in 2016. The casino and front area will also be upgraded.
Legacy has plans for construction of a world class convention centre.
The Windhoek Country Club and Resort returned to profit in the 2013/14 financial year and the recently concluded financial year was successful for the hotel which received revenue of N$157 million while room revenue increased by 7 percent. Growth in the food and beverages department is 21 percent.
